During an evening trek in a tea estate in valparai, I came across this beauty. Undisturbed by our presence, no shy of cameras.. So generously kept posing for my cam.

NIce expression captured. Nice composition. Wish you got the full tail, you had to hurry up in the evening when light in the forest diminish suddenly. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
Nice. The long bushy tail nicely documented. Agree about some more space at the bottom to include the tail in full would have been good. Please post the EXIF details to help in commenting. Thanks for sharing.
Nikon D3100, Lens- Sigma 150-500mm @350mm, ISO 400, Aperture - f/10, Shutter speed - 1/80s
Here you go.. this snap has the tail covered completely
same EXIF as given above
Due to its colour scheme instinctively people love these cute creatures. The Indian giant squirrel also falls prey to the Lion-tailed macaque in valparai and in other places.
Cropping reduces the sharpness and magnifies any imperfections. So it is always better to compose in camera. That also helps in ensuring the development of the photographer.
Thanks for sharing.
