    Green Bee-Eater
    The Green Bee-eater (Merops orientalis) (sometimes Little Green Bee-eater) is a near passerine bird in the bee-eater family.

    The image is sharp. These kind of images work well when the bird is directly looking at your lens and both eyes are visible. Both eyes will not be visible unless there is frontal lighting.

    Also there is another challenge of depth of field. The tip of the beak often gets missed out and doesn't get covered in the depth of field. Long lenses result in shallow depth of field to the tune of a few inches and hence it becomes a challenge to cover the beak.
