Nice image Sabyasachi. The duck looks cute and happy . I would personally have preferred a fuller image of the duck. In case of mammals due to their sheer size(most of them) a half body portrait looks nice. But birds being naturally smaller, half body portrait looks a bit wanting. Just my thoughts. Nevertheless a lovely image. Thanks for sharing.
Oh you got it quite close. Nice eye contact. Lovely details. The habitat displayed in the background looks nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image.I would have liked to see more of the bird in the frame. Why f/18? Thanks for sharing.
I was trying to get the bird from beak to the body covered by depth of field. I got the boat reasonably stable and used a lower shutter speed of 1/200. The camera and lens was mounted on my OConnor 1030 HDs fluid head and OConnor Hi-Hat, so I knew I can get away with a lower shutter speed if the boat is not moving.
I was filming and then decided to have this composition. I have wider shots as well as flight shots, so tried this.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi
