390 mm because you forgot to pull the zoom to the end or it was intentional?

This is a crop from the left and bottom, only very slightly though. And 390mm, not intentionally. This keeps happening with the 100-400..I am not sure why. It gives the exif data as 385mm or 390mm a few times even though I think I had pulled the zoom to its longest end.
