    Default Common Coot

    Shot at lotus pond, hyderabad.

    f6.3, ISO 640, 1/800sec, EV +0.7,400mm, full-frame, eval metering.
    canon 60D, canon 100-400 L IS USM
My fault really...could have easily dialed in f8 for a sharper, detailed image

Taking leave for the weekend and travelling to tadoba early morning tomorrow for 3 days. Will be doing 4 safaris, and hope for the best

The eye contact is nice. Wish the light was from behind you. Agree a narrower aperture would have been good. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck for your Tadoba trip.

Nice one. Lovely pose. The sharpness here looks fine to me.

Nice image. Frontal lighting would have been helped in bringing out better details in the neck region. These birds often chase each other and that makes for some nice photography.

Good luck for your tadoba trip.

    Cheers,

Nice eye contact.Good that you got it close to you.Agree with the previous comments. The image seems to be in aspect ratio of 4:3,normally DSLR full frame images are in 3:2 .Is it really full frame ? TFS
