Awesome capture of this might fella, Neil! Without alert eyes, I am sure this will be difficult to notice. Nice pose and head turn. Wish you had got the crest too. Is this a crop? Subject looks low on sharpness.

Tushar
Nice perch. The stare is striking. I am thinking adding some space from the left to the right would look good. When was this photographed? Thanks for sharing.

Neil,
The eye contact is nice. How big a crop is this? It is unfortunate that you got the shadow side of the face towards you. Did you use a bean bag, monopod or handheld this shot? Why ISO 320? Is the focus point placed on the tree? You can check that in zoombrowser or in DPP (Canon softwares that come along with the camera).

Thanks Guys !
@ Tushar : Its a 50% crop and a hand held image.
@ Mrudul : I made this picture in bandavgarh in thelast week of October.
@ Sabyasachi: The focus point is on the neck of the bird.
I agree the subject lacks sharpness
Nice shot neil. engaging eye contact.TFS

Neil,
You have to check how big was the AF point. Means how much of area was covered by the AF point. When the subject is far off, the AF point can fall on neck, shoulder, etc etc. So AF at times is not accurate.
