    In an against the light position, it is better to give a positive exposure compensation to get the details in the body right. The background will get overexposed. In such situations, it becomes better if the subject is large in the frame.

    The pose is nice. I liked the wing spread. The details are nice. I agree with the above comments. You could have cropped a bit from the top, since it doesn't add much to the image. Thanks for sharing.
