Nice image, some more space on top and bottom would be nice.
The eye contact is nice. It is a bit difficult to compose in this situation. It would have been good if you could possibly move a bit more to right to avoid the OOF branch. The white patch on the bottom right is a bit distracting, probably a vertical composition would have worked.

I agree that vertical would have been good as you would have got the entire bird. Moving to the right, if possible, would have helped in eliminating the bright sky. Thanks for sharing.
