    It is nicely camouflaged in the mud. Which species is this? Was a lower angle possible? I know you might have had to lie flat on the ground for that . Presently the eye is in shadow. Good details. Wish you a very Happy New Year. Thanks for sharing.

    When this became Duttaphrynus melanostictus from Bufo melanostictus ? Had read it zoology 30 yrs back. Guess I am outdated.

    Agree it is a headache to follow amphibian taxonomy. Keeps changing every few years.
