    Default Rufous Treepie

The ever adventurous Treepies of Ranthambhore are well known to approach people and vehicles from very close quarters.

    Full Frame image.

Nice close-up. Good details and sharpness. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

That is some close-up... can almost appreciate the landscape reflected in its eye . What was the distance? Ranthambore's treepies come so close that it's often tough to use a telephoto lens on them. Needless to say, this needs a bit more DOF, maybe you could have done with a higher ISO.

This was pretty much at minimum focusing distance ie 5 ft. I agree about the DOF. This was a quick turn and shoot kind of a situation.

Nice one. I don't remember seeing a headshot of a rufous treepie till date. I think a vertical composition might have been a better idea as that would have eliminated the brighter and differently coloured background in the right side of the present image. Thanks for sharing.
