Saw this lovely guy marking territory near mastigudi road.

Canon 7D, Lens EF 100-400 L, 400mm, f 5.6, 1/160. I cropped the picture.

Wow lovely sighting. The stare and the details look nice. Some more space at the bottom would have enhanced the composition further. How long was the sighting? Thanks for sharing.

Lovely Ramesh sab.wonders of nature, those eyes look so pure and docile more so on a top predator......wish for more space at the bottom.

@Roopak - May be I should have cropped leaving little more space at bottom than top..I will do since I have the uncropped version..Thanks

@Bhargava - It was 800 ISO, 5 PM in January and light was falling rapidly..

@Saktipada P - Generally Kabini is a very healthy forest and reasonably well protected..healthy and steady increase in the no of tigers indicates a very healthy eco-system...and there are many villages in and around that area and that could be one reason why we probably find more leopards..

@Mrudul and Atul - He was about 100 feet away from us and crossed the road in front of us..will try cropping with more room at bottom..the sighting lasted for about 5 minutes..thanks..
