Shot at Pench national park. This bull was amongst a herd of Gaur foraging in the early morning very close to the park's entrance. Shot at 105mm, 1/13s - F/5.6

Nice image.Morning rays falling on the head has made it so beautiful. The tallest and the second heaviest oxen in our jungle, the Gaur, has exquisite nose and romantic eyes, both have been well documented. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Very nicely captured Kaustuv. The details have come out very well. The jungle looks lovely, would have liked if there was more space all around, would have enhanced the gaur's presence in its habitat.

Nice pose and eye contact. Agree some more space all around would have been good to show more of the habitat. The shutter speed was quite low, what was the ISO? Do you use a tripod? Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking animal. Did you use flash? Good that you got it sharp even at a low shutter speed. What camera and lens were you using?

The stockings look nice. Seems to be taken in low light. Always nice to watch these gentle giants. Thanks for sharing.

For this I'd used the Nikon D3000 body & Nikkor 18-105mm VR lens. No, I did not use flash. ISO was 400. This is a hand held shot from the jeep, no tripod. I have moved on now to the D90.
