Another image of the the tiger cub in hiding, tried the monochrome on this, appreciate your comments and suggestions are most welcome.

Monochrome may have worked wonders if the main subject was not a minority in the image (as was the case in the color image too). A 1/3 crop to the right might have helped.

I agree with the above comments, the leaves form a major part of the image. I feel monochrome composition usually work when there is a play of light and shadows in the image. Its good that you are trying different compositions. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. It is good that you got atleast one eye in the clear. This image looks a bit dark. Black and white images succeed when there are repeated patterns, texture, moody lighting, contrast. Depth of field is another variable that needs to be controlled in black and white. I feel one needs to compose keeping in mind black and white. Thanks for sharing.
