I almost missed this beauty, it was a shaded car park area near hebbal park in bangalore.....We saw each other at the same time....luckily he gave me enough time to get the camera up....I managed to track the take off and got a couple of snaps.....

Wow superb dive pose captured. Nice eye contact. It looks like a jet :). The clean background adds to the image. Its is good you had enough shutter speed to freeze the moment. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Ohh from the title I thought you posted Mr. Vijay Mallya's photo. :D

Nice eye contact. Good grab shot. I agree with Roopak that it is not easy to get a fast moving kingfisher in flight and you succeeded to a large extent. Some more details and less crop would have made this a winner. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Lovely Image there. I like the composition and of course the Title <cheeky grin> :D
Good that you got the focus right on this one. How much of a crop is this?

Hi Bibhav, the bird was fairly nearby....it was only a moderate crop.....there was a branch, so i cropped the image to avoid the branch
