Lioness!!!

Hi All
Greetings for the New Year !!!
Just Returned from a short Trip to the Gir national Park. Posting the first image, a Lioness from the route 6. She was with cubs but shooed them away the moment she saw our Gypsy approaching.

EOS 5DII + 300 F4+ 1.4xII at 1/500, f 5.6.

Borrowed Anu sachdevas 5D for its better ISO performance over the 50D and could take passable pictures even at ISO3200. Added tthe extender to compensate for the range loss due to it being a Full frame camera.

Nice relaxed pose. I liked the composition and the eye contact. The details are nice. The light seems to be very bad. When was this photographed? Was it late in the evening? Look forward to more from Gir. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see a lioness after a long time. The composition is good. The light seems to be pretty less. Slightly more brightness ie. about 1/3 stop would be great. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.
