Jungle cat from Sundarbans

Just competed a nice Sundarbans and Chilika trip. This jungle cat was literally last day last shot in Sundarbans.

Canon EOS 1DX Mark II, 800mm, f5.6, full frame.

This jungle cat was partially hidden behind vegetation and was difficult to frame. Since the motor boat was moving, it was difficult to frame accurately. Wish the ear was not hidden, nevertheless since the rest of the head is clear, I am ok.

Nice image. The colour of the coat is remarkable dark grey. It was a large elusive jungle cat. All three Lesser Cats are being reported from inside forest areas of Sundarbans after 2000 or so, may be they are receiving more attention.

Nice pic of a jungle cat.Its good to see the car turning its head 180 degrees.The stumps must have been tricky impediments to get the focus on the cat.Probably you have resorted to manual focussing.
