Glossy ibises feed in very shallow water and nest in freshwater or brackish wetlands with tall dense stands of emergent vegetation. They are found in the Ox-bow Lake (Chupi) of Purbasthali, East Bardhaman, West Bengal during the moths of Winter.

Nice open wing pose of the bird captured.There seems to be a little shake though, resulting in some loss of details.Bengal has such beautiful variety of avian life.Thanks for showcasing them on this platform.

Nice pose. Good details in the underparts of the wing. I feel just a bit more space at the bottom to include its imaginary legs (legs submerged in water) would have strengthened the composition further. What is the dark roundish thing(?) in the background on the left? Thanks for sharing.
