Tigress crossing the sot, which appears to be the typical boundary dividing bhabar and terai.

The typical pebbly- bouldery layer referred to as the bhabar in the background and the finer sediments or clay to form the terai in foreground.

Lovely image of the tigress walking majestically in the sot created in between the ridges. Himalayan foothills, well-drained and cultivable, are known as Bhabar land (Kaladhungi is a Bhabar town), and farther south is the tract, formerly swampy called Terai. Are we not still inside Bhabar? Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Dear Saktida, In this location it is difficult to sight tigers, other than when they crossover. This tigress was sighted at the edge of Bhabar, and where terai begins. The terai landscape is behind me. Regards Debasis Bose

Great to see the apex predator on its prowl. Which zone was this? The depth of field is fine. Thanks for sharing.
