The Yellow-billed Babbler is a common resident breeding bird in Sri Lanka and southern India. Its habitat is scrub, cultivation and garden land. This species, like most babblers, is not migratory, and has short rounded wings and a weak flight and is usually seen calling and foraging in groups. Nice sighting in the open and clear. Good eye contact. Liked the out of focus plain green background created by the trees. Slight off centered framing would have enhanced the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

Too often we ignore them because babblers are commonly seen. If at all there are any birds who can come close to being as garrulous as humans, then it is the babblers.

Light is from the other side. Else a catchlight in the eye would have been great. Thanks for sharing.
