Could this be a Spoted Owlet?
Quote "Habitat: Open or semi-open country, including semi-desert. Within and on outskirts of villages and cultivation, groves with old trees, and ruins. This species avoids thick forest. Lives from sea-level to about 1400m." Un-quote. Whole of India almost.

Mayank,
Some how I had missed this before. I would love have a bit more sharpness during capture and some sharpening during post processing. Where was this photographed? Is this a big crop?
Cheers,

ya..there is substantial cropping in this image..i know i should be getting more
stability and sharpness during capture but i am simply not able to hold my cam still when using the lens at the 300mm end! :( ..
this shot was taken near a lake in uttaranchal..close to bhimtal..
can anyone confirm which owl this is?
