Vamsi,
Which software do you use to convert your images?

I am fine with the composition. Regarding the catchlight, before approaching close to a bird, you have to first find out the direction of light. The way a hunter approaches its prey based on the direction of wind a photographer should also keep in mind the light direction.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Hi Sabyasachi,

I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. This was shot as JPEG not as RAW.

thanks for the inputs. Will keep in mind next time

Thanks,
Vamsi

Nice perch and good eye contact. With the sun behind you, the chances of getting the catch light is better. It is better to photograph in RAW as all the details are retained in the image. Also using only Lightroom is advisable as it is designed for photographers, the basic level adjustments and cloning of dust spots can be done in it. It is better to get things right in the field :). Thanks for sharing
