Hearing Test

Hearing Test

Do you have Perfect Hearing? These days very rarely people have perfect hearing.

Human hearing range is from 20Hz to 20KHz. Most of the times we lose out on hearing the top end. This degeneration happens due to age and due to exposure to loud sounds like construction noise, traffic, TV, industrial noise etc. There are various sounds in this file. Just check if you are able to hear all the sounds. Do let us know till which frequence you can hear.

Precautions to maintain for good hearing:

  • Don’t listen to TV in high volume. Too often due to bad acoustics of the room, people use the TV at high volume. If one of the persons in your house insists on high volume in the TV, then create an alternate seating for him/her near the TV if it is practical.
  • If you are using earphones while talking over phone or listening to music, use a lower volume.
  • Avoid noisy places like pubs with loud music, prefer lounge with soft music instead
  • Avoid loud noise of jack hammers drilling in construction sites, loud traffic noise etc. Closed earphones covering your ears can give some relief from such noise.
  • In the long run changing your windows to sound proof those will help a lot in reducing the noise levels.
  • If you are using old equipment like mixers, grinders etc in kitchen, old fans and motors etc that make lot of noise, then either change the motors to new or replace those.

Certain Yoga practices like Bhramari etc helps in making your ears better. Try those.
