Mammals This forum is meant to post, critique Images of all mammals, wild and free, that are not restrained in any manner. Images should be from the Indian subcontinent and should not be taken in captivity or under controlled conditions. If any alteration is done in the image by cloning to remove or add grass, trees or other vegetation and/or parts of the subject ie. animal, bird etc please mention that in the posting. Please refrain from posting domestic cats and dogs.

Default The Real Fighter- Indian Guar

I shot this one in Nagarhole WLS, The Fighter ( Indian Guar) he was ready for the fight with onother giant , but the safari bus distracted their attention.

Hi Hari,

Nice enviornment image.Cropping the image a bit from the top, will help to focus more on the gaur and will enhance the image further. The skin texture is good, a little more light would have brought out the details near the eye.

Can you please post the EXIF details, that will help to understand the details and comment better.

Hi Hari,
This is a huge gaur. Since you were in a Bus and the Gaur was near you, the angle is steep. In wildlife photography, the best photos are the ones taken from an eye level of the animal.

I wish you could have clicked it in better light. During post processing you can open up the shadows a bit, so that the eyes will appear better.
