    I liked the composition and the feel of the image. Good perch and eye contact. Good you got it in the side-on profile. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice to see this bird. Higher depth of field would have been good. The tail is interesting. How is the sighting there now?

    Nice perch, composition and colours. There are four races: it appears to be Male Copsychus malabaricus malabaricus.

    I am now listening to the

    as described by Krishnan; through your image.

    I have heard White-rumped Shama of a different race a few years back which is seen here.Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

    Thank you Mrudul,Sabyasachi Patra, and Sakti ji for your comments....

    Sabyasachi Patra: This was taken in March and Light was very low.....
    Sightings are good this summer and planing to go in next month...

    Sakti ji as you mentioned this bird sings very melodiously and also mimics other birds....
